guest of honor: mr. lin thomas

.

Mr. Lin Thomas has become one of Philadelphia’s most successful business executives. He holds the position of CEO and Chairman for two companies: Supra Office Supplies Inc. & EMSCO Enterprises. Mr. Thomas has also been awarded a leadership award by the African-American Chamber of Commerce for his involvement in the community and continually serving as a role model for our youth.

what is the hope dinner?

We seek to bring students from classical Christian schools together with the most inspiring business leaders in Philadelphia and beyond. In today’s age, our youth need heroic role-models to demonstrate how a pattern of integrity, virtue, self-sacrifice and character can strongly result in a life of success, achievement, and entrepreneurship.

Held in a different and prestigious venue each year, the Hope Dinner also enables business leaders to form positive networks with each other, helping them to foster business relationships around shared and common values.

what are tax-credit scholarships?

The tax-credit scholarship programs, typically abbreviated as EITC and OSTC, are government programs which were launched by the State of Pennsylvania in the 2000s for the purpose of fostering the State’s growth in independent school institutions. These programs permit businesses and individuals to designate from 75% to 90% of their state-tax liability toward an independent school of their choice.

At the Hope Dinner we typically refer to the EITC program, especially tailored toward promoting schools in disadvantaged communities.
